JOSEPHINE | Silver Geometric Stud Earrings | Solidarity Collection
These sterling silver geometric stud earrings are a tribute to Ms. Josephine Baker (nee Freda Josephine McDonald). Sleek and sexy with strong lines that represent the solid determination she had to make a positive change in the world.
Handcrafted in sterling silver, these earrings are part of my SOLIDARITY collection where I celebrate strong women who have made a difference in the lives of others through their work and dedication to create positive change.
Surely the day will come when color means nothing more than the skin tone, when religion is seen uniquely as a way to speak one’s soul; when birth places have the weight of a throw of the dice and all men are born free, when understanding breeds love and brotherhood. – Josephine Baker
Josephine Baker was a civil rights activist, singer, dancer, and film actress. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri but moved to France in her 20s where she became wildly successful. At one point in her life, she worked for the French Resistance and smuggled messages for them. She spent much of her lifetime fighting racism.
We must change the system of education and instruction. Unfortunately, history has shown us that brotherhood must be learned, when it should be natural. – Josephine Baker
You know how it works. Keep silent and nothing changes. Unite to fight a wrong and we get one step closer to harmony and peace.
